Vlahos bo lted into th e lead in the first turn and held first for eigh t la ps a nd the win. Ed Minton a nd Spoo f Pen a diced it out for seco nd , but bot h were a ced out by Peta lum a H on da s' Da ve Coupe. T he seco nd rnoto, Min ton pulled th e holesh ot , but was soon overtaken by Vlahos.
