J ames Harrison got his 250 Yamaha smoking and won the 250cc Pro flat track main after a firey battle with Kell y Johnson a nd Jimm y Tarlton. In the early motos survival was the order of the da y. A good sta rt and a delicate thrott le hand usually resulted in a top F inish. Both Hoenshell and Sk inner jetted a way to th eir typica l exce llent starts and respective first mota win s.
