Jerr Daily (MP Racing/ Eastside Kaw) has controlled the area for a long. long time and it looked like he might be upset, but came out o n the winning edge after a duel between himsel f and Mike Crowell o n a H onda. Crowell took a 2-2, coming in beh ind Daily, who was a bit su rp rised to see someone that close at the finish. T hird went to Matt Ra mey (Yam ) wit h a 3-3and Ed Portz(Euge ne Suz) 4-5 was fourth. The timing was great too . because by the tim e th e motocross was over, th e ra in s did come. There were two eig h t-la p rnotos on a trac k that was dra stica lly cha nged by mother nature a nd her little -washou ts. . T om Miller o f the Master's cla ss got things orr to a fast pace wi th his Kawasaki in th e lead . Miller mi ssed the fir st turn a nd went off th e tra ck . T hat put " Movi n Marv" Ol son into th e lead , a nd tha t' s wh ere he stayed for a ni ce win. Miller mad e a recovery a nd came in seco nd. That's really pushing it. Moto two began with Ol son taking the lead for three laps. He was th en passed by Miller who took over th e lead for three laps. Marvin reg ained h is lead a nd took a no the r first for first ov eral l. Mi ll er wa s in w ith another second. Jun ior Master Gab e Guti errez was in the winning line a t th e sta rt o f rnoto one and led hi s a ction for three laps. Then Bob Beasley took over th e lead a nd ca rr ied it to th e fini sh . Gabe cam e in w i th second. Following Gutierr ez with a third pla ce was Don Merritt. The second rnoto bega n, once again . wi th Guti err ez o u t in th e lead, and he led for three laps. George Spearing made hi s pa ssing move and led the acti o n for four laps. Gutierrez made hi s winning move and gassed by Spearing on the last lap. Spearing took second and Bob De Miranda was there for third pl ace. Novice Ri chard T ownsend had the winning formula as he bla sted away on his Yamaha and took two wins. Wendall Pa rk took th e holeshot in moto one a nd took a ni ce second. George Mc Cauley was in with third. Da l Brockett started a bo u t mid-pack, but did some fast moving to ta ke seco nd at the £lag.
