PRODUCT EVALUATION Scott Gog gle Tea roffs Sco tt goggles has a new tearoff system th a t does aw ay with th e old offset tearoff system. The offset tearoff system required th e rider to re mem ber whe ther h e shou ld grab th e upper ta b or the bottom ta b to remove th e o uter tea roff . Often in the exciternen t of a race, th e rider pu lled th e wrong o ne , both or slowed too much wh ile puzzli ng th e si tua tion, but tha t si tua tio n is hi story. T h e new Scott tearoff system uses a pl asti c in sert an d secu ri n g pin with in th e strap housing a nd th e tearo ff. T his setup fits a ll th e exis ting Scott goggles, and there is no n eed to purchase new lenses or new frames to ge t th e job done. An added bonus is th at the n ew tearoffs are desi gned to fit u nde rnea th th e pl a sti c fram e for th e ent ire distan ce alo ng the to p of th e goggles. This preven ts water from seep ing in between th e tea roff s and ren dering th em useless. We tried th e n ew rearoff system and enjoyed find ing the wider tearoff ta b eas ily at speed. As soon as a tea roff is removed, a new ta b flips out and is ready when needed. We found th a t five tearoffs was th e m ost we ' felt comforta ble looking throug h, a nd we a lso found it eas ier to install all five a t once rather th an one a t a time.
