HOW MANY JU lOR RIDERS DOES
IT TAKE TO SWEEP A DIRT TRACK?
Three.
Which, surprisingly enough, was exactly the number
ofriders who placed in the Camel Pro Junior Invitational .
Short Track while ridingbikes powered byCR250R engines.
And while this 1-2-3 sweep of one ofAmerica's most
prestigious Junior races shows the world how fast a Honda
engine can be, we're proud of it for another reason.
It also shows the world how
Expert a Junior can be.

Terry Poovey,
First Place Houston Short Track:
At the CMC Golden State Motocross Series, the forecast was excellent.
If you happened to be riding a Honda.
Bob "Hurricane" Hannah, who started
riding a Honda early this season, showed everyone
how quickly he catches on. He not only won the fifth
round ofthis seven round series, he's won four ofthe
five races and has enough points under his belt to
make him the 250 Pro Class leader.
.
And closely following the leader isTeam
Honda's own' David Bailey in second place.
Meanwhile in the 500 Pro Class, Goat
Breker, also new to Honda, has the competition
in a very familiar position.
,
Right behind his CR480R Pro-Link' equipped
production motocrosser.
And with a total of 366 points, he's only two
races away from winning the series.
Which just goes to show you that when you
follow the leader, you might also end up one.
