Gatorback is knownas the "meanest, baddest" motocross track in the South. But it has the kind of terrain Honda CR480R riders John Reinholt and Dan Conway love
to sink their teeth into.
Reinholt and Conway clinched the Open Pro Class
title and the overall win respectively, chewing up the competition on1983 production CR480Rs. A motocross bike
that's DeCoster inspired. And bred to its current state of
perfection by last year's 500 National Championship.
The CR480R's engine has plenty of strong, tractable
power no matter what part of the powerband, or country,
you run in. And the Pro-Link' rising-rate suspension has
adjustable rebound and compression damping. Combined
with adjustable 43 mm front forks, you
have suspension that -z<~

track. And any
conditions.
All of which
seems to prove the
1983 production
CR480R is more
motorcycle offthe showroom floor. But then we didnt have
to tell Reinholt and Conway that.
It's obvious they didn'tbite offmore than their
CR480Rs could chew.
