World Champ-IonshlpObserved Trials SerIes: Round 7 Lejeune rolls on in Austria By Mike Rapley HEINRICHS, AUSTRIA, JUNE 6 Eddy Lejeune continued his almost total domination of the trials world by winning round seven of the championship series in Austria, his fifth win in this year's series. And just as the Honda mounted Lejeune has proved so superior, the second and third placed riders, Frenchman Gilles Bu rga t and Californian Bern ie Schreiber once again established themselves as his closest rivals. In yet another fairly easy trial held at H einr ichs, not so far from the Czechos lova kian border, it was the swelterin g temperatures that made riders falte r ra th er than the severity of the sections. Just before the start the organizers mad e a change to m any of th e sectio ns in th e belief that th ey wou ld not be di£ficu lt enough, a nd in maki ng the change tu rn ed th em in to tight, narrow o ne line hazards th at were not popular with th e ride rs. It seem ed to mak e littl e differen ce to Lejeun e who sta rte d off as h e meant to fini sh , p u tt ing in a first lap score of 15 over th e sevent een sections . H e didn 't make a ny mi stak es o n th e third circuit to fin ish with a co nvinc in g eigh t mark win. Schreiber beat Bu rga r's third lap sco re but hi s comparatively poor firs t lap was just enoug h to cos t h im the run ner-up spot to defe nding champ Burgat. .
