In memorium: Willie Crabbe A M A/Winst on Pro Series co m petitor Willie Crabbe succumbed to head inj uries suffered in the May 2 San Jose Mile as he passed away in a San Jose hospital on Tuesday morning, May 11 . The 23-year-o ld Crabbe never regained consciousness following the crash. Crabbe, the 1976 AMA Eastem Regional Junior champion was a friendly f ixture on the Grand National Championship circuit, and although he never achieved great success, was considered to be a great credit to the sport.
