Kelly took seco nd and was pulling u p rapidly on Knaack , but Hardin came on in the backstretch to take second . The three leaders stayed tigh t through the fourth lap , bu t Knaack fell bac k to third, which he lost o n the next lap to Patton, Hardi n barely held his lead across the finish line.
