Road Apple Ra n dy finally slipped past Bren wa y down the long sand wash to take second place. Let us Lee and Stubby Steve followed for fourth and fifth. The second moto saw Mike Bren way get the holeshot with Roll Over Rick right on his tail. These two riders were wheel-to-wheel for the first two laps when Rick made a cornering mistake and slid back into fourth . R ick knew he had his work CUi out for him as he had to overtake Road Apple Randy . who was running second. 10 win overall for the day . He Northern chapter of the gang decided 10 make the trip down and it ma de for some very exciting racing. In the first moto of the Expert class. Roll Over Rick blasted down the long start area and jumped into an early lead. Northern riders Road Apple Randy and the number one plate holder Mike Brenway were dicing it out with Let Us Lee. Rick was really on the gas as he . r ee ed to 0 u n touched th e rest of reeled in Brenway and Let Us Lee but co u ld only get within a bike length of Rand y. Road Apple Randy went 2-1 for th e overall with Roll Over Rick and Mike Brenway second and third. In the AmateurcIass it wa sall Too Tall Tim aboard his Suzuki RM250Z Waterpumper as he went from start to finish in both rnotos 10 take the overa ll win.Tim has really been cookin latel y and could be looking for a transfer to the ExpertcIass very soon!! Run Over Ron and Jivin Jim were bauling back and forth in each moto with Jim taking a second in moto two for seco n d overall and Ron rounding out the top three. When the Intermediate class came off the line. it was Klark Kent showing that his RM465 definetly has lots of horsepower. He pulled everyone down the back sandwash and was off and running . Sweet Skeets and Northern rider Daisy Dave were starting 10 pick up the pace. Maico Mike ' was also starting 10 move up from mid pack after running off the track at the start. On lap four. Klark Kent. Sweet Skeets and Maico Mike were all within 20 feet of each o ther, On the last lap just before the finish . Skeets set up Kent for a perfect pass on the big left hand turn just ahead of the checkered flag to take first . In the second moto, Junkit Jess showed that his new YZ490 Yamaha also ha d a bunch of HP as he blasted down the sand wash and retained the lead fro m sta rt to finish. A ood ba t- tIe was forming for second. third and fourth. Relleno Richard was trying 10 keep seco nd place when northern rider Cunnin Curt slipped by. Unfortunately for Curt. he caught the back of a slower rider sending him face first into the sand. Maico Mike overtook Relleno Richard and wa s going after Jess but time ran out and he had to setrle for second. Mike did take the overall with a 3-2 finish for top brass. Klark Kent and Sweet Skeets took home trophies for second and third. Bang Bang Bobo again showed the Novices the way around as he posted perfect I-I rnoto finishes for the overall win. Club President Reject Randy was in striking distance of Bang Bang Bobo in the second moto when he got a liule out of shape and did a classic en do into the sand pits. He remounted and took fifth overall for the day . Turtle Ted and Drippy Dennis were having their own duel in each moto and ended up with second and third brass. Because of the good rider turnout. CRC gave out 30% trophies. Toad Tom and Reject Randy both went home with brass for good rides turned in for fourth and fifth . The next O ver The Hill Gang race will be at DeAnza Raceway March 7.
