H onda 's Donnie Hansen and Suzuki's defending Supercross Series Champion Mark Barnett split wins in the two nights of racing before a total weekend . cro wd of 65,192. Yamaha very nearly bagged the win Saturday ni ght. but th e Yamaha ca m p's cheers turned suddenly to horrified ga sps as Broc Glover, who led from the start, fell a half lap from the ch eckered flag, letting Hansen and his teammate, Darrell Shultz, fly past. You 'd stay in one groove like a slot car. It was hard to keep. both wheels in the groove that long; th ey'd start jumping out, _ " It' s not Harold (Mu rrell, the trac k construction supervisor) - he's doing a heck of a job - it 's a good enough track. It's just that soft of din i gonna groove out like that. So, it makes it kinda bad in the corners fot passing, but on the jumps with all them grooves. it makes it a little bii ea sier; hit the groove and hold th line." Hansen retained his position atop' th e series point standings with 71. However. he now shares it witli Shultz, who won both rounds her e
