PRODUCT EVALUATION BOB HANNAH Wins 250cc Pro Class In Round Three Golden State Series, Sand Hill Ranch, Brentwood, CA on Hi-Point Red Dot Tires. CN 00 The Hurricane relies on Hi-Point Red Dots front and rear to give him the action and traction he's looking for. ~ . ..I,,+iNfA ~/flJlJA#~I"/"'- , HI-POINT * RAC'.' * Castre Road Race l Touring Boots Castre Road Race/Touring Boots do double duty and do it well. They are just as at home off the bike as on it. We speak from experience. It' s been live months and over 6,000 miles ago that we started wearing them. The boots have picked up a couple of scuff marks and a nick here and there, but they're still in good shape and look good , You can't ask much more than that from a pair of boots. The nicest thing about them is they don't really look like a riding boot. How many times have you gone on a trip and realized you needed to pack an extra pair of shoes because your riding boots made you look like you just came off the farm? Not so with the Castre boot. You can ride, rock or relax with them . No need to pack something else to wear. The boots are made of supple leather which didn't crack or stiffen when dried overnight by a baseboard heater after they were soaked in a sudden dow npour, We suggest an application or two of Mink Oil or a similar product to get the boots as water repellent as possible. At 14 inches high, the boots are neither too tall nor too short. There is a stretch panel incorporated into the top for those who like to tuck their pants/leathers into their boots. A zipper runs from the back of the heel to the top of the boot, with a snap closure used at the top. There is a storm flap on the inside and it appears to be adequate to keep out any backspray if you do get caught in the rain. The tan/butterscotch color, while very nice, isn't really functional for motorcycle riding, A darker color brown would probably be better. T he shift pad on the instep (of both boots) is nice, b ut it isn't far enough forward to do the job it was designed to do. The suggested retail price is $74.95, For more information you ca n contact Cast re Incorpo ra ted , 836 Flory Mill Rd . , Lancaster, PA 17601.
