Wright who had been test ing th is little puppy for about a month . showed the folks that Yamahas can do the job . Wright led out of turn one followed by Rodn ey Sherenhelm (Hon ), Mark " W ax" Weixeldorfer, Curtis Sparks (Hon) and Dean Sundahl (Hon) . By lap four of the 10 lap race , Sundahl had moved to second past Sparks and Wax . By the sixth la p Wright's brakes started to let go , Sundahl moved to fir st followed by Sparks and Wax with Wright making the best ou t of fourth to end th e fir st heal. "W righ t and I had a good battle go ing for a little bit. After I gOl by him there was thi s mudhole right before the jump. Wax played the block game on Sp arks, as it was quite clea r Sparks was th e faster m an , but with th e mud Sparks was un able to ge t by.
