Maico rider Kevin Davis took
command of the Open Pro race
at this week's Saddleback Saturday Motocross race and opened
secu re leads in each rnoto and fin ished
the day with a perfect 1-1 score.
Davis' main competition came from
Husk y rider Bill Keefe . Keefe . riding
an exotic 450cc Husky with a stroked
crank and many detail refinements,
kept the pressure on Davis but was un able to mount a serious challenge for
the lead position.
Maico rider Dale Lewis rode a con sistent race to finish third in each mo to
and earn third overall .
Husky -mo unted Bren t Wallingsford
pick ed up fourth and Maico rider Bob
Rutten rounded out th e top five.
