There were elitries of all types of racing vehicles with five c1uIes of three·wheelen, one c1asa of mini bikes, a Go·Kan c1asa, aBo a c1asa of Modified Odyueys and one for Mini Sprints. There was racing for all kinds of fans. The Open Three·Wheelen only had three bikes entered, but put on a great show. Steve Harris, who seems to be almost unbeatable on the Mississippi Cycle Supply 175 Yamaha, crashed hard in the heat race, although he remounted to finish. Bill Carlin won the .heat with Donnie Wilson in second In the feature race Steve kept the sunny side up and was in his usual place at the end, with Bill Carlon on the Nonh Jacbon 250R Honda right on his tailpipe. Donnie Wilson aBo on a Honda took third. Brookheaven, MX, supplied US with a group of good riden in the 200cc class. In fact they made up the entire class plus their wives put on a super show in the Powder Puff class, with two of their children running in the Junior Three·Wheelen. Josh Smith won the heat and feature race in this division with Dusty Case taking secoDd. In the 200cc class Roy LoftoD, who was riding the oval track for the secoDd time, lead the heat and feature from stan to finish. Danny MartiD took second and Jimmy Mitchell third. The ladies Three·Wheeler c1ass was ODe of the most exciting of the night. Cynthia Smith led all eight laps of the heat with Cheryl Mitchell rubbing tires with her the entire race. Cynthia led the feature for the fint six laps but begaD to tire and let Cheryl Mitchell get around her OD the seventh lap and Vickie Donchard passed her on the niDth. In the um, little Steve Moore won both the heat and main with his mother finishing second. They boys from Hottisburg came up to take all the bucks home in the Stoc\ Odyueys with Keith Morgan fint and Don Stringer second. . The excitement keeps growing in the Modified Odyueys, Louis Kirkland continued his winning streak leading both the heat and main from stan of finish. Charlie Hargan came up from Vidilia, Louisiana to take second place money home. Billy Yelton did some great driving to take third place. Billy gets better and,the 44 car gets stronger every week.
