This is the ATC iIlI250R, the world's best three-wheeler. We know because we just finished racing it in the world's worst races. Within months ofits introduction, it became the first three-wheeler in history to enter and finish the Baja 1000, the Mexicali 250, the Parker 400 and the Baja 500. And for an encore, it took an overall first for three-wheelers in the 1981 Bridgestone-SCORE Off-Road World Championship. Needless to say, no ordinary threewheeler could do all this. Because no ordinary three - wheeler is built like this. Its 248 cc MX type two-stroke engine is the biggest powerplant we've ever put on three wheels. And to make those wheels handle, we created the first front and rear suspension system for a production threewheeler. A gas-charged shock in back, air-forks up front. The 1982 model of theATC250R is available now. Featuring a new hydraulic disc brake in the rear as well as everything you need to start racing. Dog-leg levers, cleated footpegs, a manual clutch, a five-speed transmission, a kick starter and full carcass radial tires. , There's only one thing it's missing. Something worth racing against. ALWAYS WEAR AHELMET AND EYE PROTECTION. Designed for off-road, operator use only. Specifications and availability subject to change without notice. ©1981 American Honda Motor Co., Inc.
