Danny Chandlercompletes sweep ofTrans-USA Support Serres.
After the Trans-USA Support Class Series wound to a close at Hangtown last
weekend, the competition still had some racing to do.
Back to their drawing boards.
Because Danny Chandler rode a1982 production CR480R to easy overall wins in
all five races, staging a spectacular return to rnotocrossing's limelight. He finished
first in eight often rnotos and, despite Magoos reputation as a motorcycle mauler,
the Honda CR480R breezed through the series flawlessly. And when the dust
cleared, the top three finishers in the final point standings were all aboard
CR480Rs.
In fact, six ofthe top ten finishers were on CR480Rs. Which left very little
doubt about who11 have the best open class production bike this year. .
But the best part ofall this isn't Hondas total domination ofthe series.
Nor is it Chandlers remarkable comeback.
The best part is that, unlike most ofthe bikes you read about in ads like
this, you can get a CR480R ofyour very own.
