Ocala Motor Speedway Ocala, Rorida March 3, 4, 5, 1982 lead followed by Alan and Honda of Winston·Salem's Barry Orrell. Mike Griffith held foonh until Cycle Goodie's Larry Snow took over in an attempt to catch Orrell. Flippin held a fast pace to the finish with Alan holding a strong second over Orrell and Snow. Dennis Coller took fifth followed by Tammy Alan and Griffith. Flippin bounced into the lead at the start of the second heat with Alan and Snow dicing for second. Orrell dropped out of contention as Coller held fourth oYer Tammy Alan and Griffith. Flippin was well on his way to victory when his engine failed. "I was hittin' the jumps on the backside when my motor blew and that was it," said Flippin later. Snow had worked past Alan and sud· denly found himself in the lead with Flippin sidelined. "I thought I'd have to settle for second and then I saw him sittin' in the jumps," said an elated Snow. Alan was happy with his overall even though he didn't win a heat. Being the only rider in the ATC Oval class, John Bender had no problems in Oval racing, although beating everyone in his heats. First heat, Chris White was leading the race until engine problems put him out during the last lap. White later returned to the pro· gram but leaving the class 7 overall win to David McNealy. Class 5 victory went to Roger Ham· mond, who earned first in both heats, Bob Weber was running a close second before crashing in the first heat. Class 6 action, it was Rob Selvy taking first also, but not easily since Ron Byars was challenging both heats. Tim Hoy wheelied down the straights to pick· up the class 3 win, and Shawn Wood won class 2. Odyssey oval class I, division I, win went to Mark White, who completely-
