Wmning a Superbike race is one thing. Wmning a Formula One
race is quite anotheJ: And winning both in one day is something else
agam.
But that's exactly what Team Honda's Fast Freddie Spencer did last
week in the Wmston-Pro AMA Pocono, Pa. National.
First he romped to a holeshot victory aboard a CB900F-based
Superbike with teammate Roberto Pietri capturing third. That
puts Freddie within striking range ofthe National Superbike
Ch3mpionship with 79 points and two races to go.
TIlen he treated the fans to a repeat performance in the
Formula One race, piloting another CB900F-based works
Honda to another first-place finish.
You can understand how proud that made us. As for
Fast Freddie, well, he was so happy you might just say
he was beside himself.
