and Bruno took over front spot. Lindfors remounted, though losing position each lap he soon slipped out of the top 10. Wolsink now held second, but Noyce was pushing hard; 15 minutes were upon the clock as the present world points leader passed the Dutchman in the woods and headed after Bruno. Lackey had gated in ninth behind Hakan Carlqvist and Gerard Rond. The three of them came hammering through and soon caught Malherbe; Rond took Malherbe two laps later for fourth. Wolsink slipped over the berm 30 minutes out letting Rond, Malherbe, Carla and Brad by. The Dutch sand ace remounted in seventh but was unable to regain any places before the fmish flag. Noyce demoted Bruno to second spot on the 35th minute, then the French Champion stalled his Suzuki on a tight left bander and Rond easily slipped into second. Malherbe picked up more speed toward the finish, and he also passed Bruno. With just two laps to the flag, Rond flew over the bars of his KTM. He got going again but lost two places. Carla and Lackey could not keep in touch with the front four and both settled for easy points in fifth and sixth places. Andre Vromans had crashed on the first lap but fought back to 10th atthe fmish, in the second moto no one could stay with him as he led from start to the flag. Toon Karsmakers, Frans Sigmans, Lackey and Carlqvist were all in tow after the front runner as round two started. Noyce had to avoid Rond who fell in the middle of the pack at the start. and the ex-World Champion came around in 16th place. Sigmans fell on lap three, and Carla moved into third already passing Lackey. Malherbe had started in seventh, and the works Honda star quickly slid in behind Carlqvist. Noyce was starting to make ground, and after 20 minutes he tucked himself behind ·Bruno who was in seventh. Lackey hit a straw bail and took a short flight, he restarted only to find he had lost three places to Wolsink, Bruno and Noyce. On the same lap, Noyce was able to bump Bruno back to seventh. Carlqvist and Malherbe were battling it out for third place; lap after lap, the Champ tried to pass the Swede. The crowd was going crazy as the two appeared side by side out of the woods, neither giving in or gaining an inch.
