TOTIIE FINISH
Frankly, Roeseler and Ogilvie's victory at the
,405-mile Baja Intemacional wasn't much ofa
surpnse.
But no one ever expected them to do it in six
hours, 42 minutes and 34.59 seconds.
Especially the finish line crew
They were busy taking' a siesta when they
got a frantic radio call that an unidentified
flying object was headed their way in a hurry.
Sure enough, no sooner had the finish line
been finished, when aYamaha crossed it
Which brings us to a little frienc;lly advice for
future race officials: as soon as Roeseler'and
Ogilvie are finished with the starting line, youti
better get started on the finish line.
