KENT IIOWER'IVN: USA In the National 250cc MX Championship Series, Kent Howerton guided his "R.JII-Aoater' one step closer to the national title.The setting was High Point Raceway in Mt Morris. Pennsylvania. It was a perfect 1-1 day for Kent who now has won 11 of 12 motos and leads the series by 46 points. fies for the USA. ISDE IntentTeam. TERRY VANCE: USA Terry Vdnce, aboard his Vance and Hines GS-1100 Suzuki, remains undefeated after winning the Fro Stock Class at the NMRA Spring Nationals.Terry took Top Qualifier honors and then won the final with aquarter-mile time of8.792 seconds and top speed of 151.26 mph. FRANK S'DlCY: USA MIKE PHlWPS: USA The Peny Mountain ISDE 2-Day At the NMRA Spring Nationals in Epping, New Hampshire, Mike Phillips rcx:1e aVdnce and Hinesprepared GS-750 Suzuki to his 2nd straight win in the newly formed Supermodified Class. He did it with a blistering run of 10.778 seconds at 109.22 mph. , Qualifier found Rank Stacy once again taking the 250cc and overall hooors on his PE-250. Rank has dominated the 2-Day Series by taking overall honors in 4 out of5 events. Needless to say, Frankalready quali- who won the wortd title last year, holds acommanding lead after 5 rounds in this years series. His latest victory came May 24 in Czechoslovakia, with a perfect 1-1 finish. HARRY EVERTS: EUROPE Defending 125ccWJrtd MX Champion Hany Everts is once again leading the 125 wortd title chase. Hany took round 6 inyugoslavia with back-to-back moto wins aboard his 125cc "Full-Rooter'ยท to stay atop the standings. It looks like Hany is on his way to his 3rd -and Suzuki's _8th -consecutive wortd title. Wrth performances like these. it's no wonder Suzuki is winning the wortd over.
