Yamaha and led Tim Lunde to win
the fint U5cc Pro mota. Mike Nishita
was an Intermediate last year but is
now a Pro and he showed why as he
aced out Lunde for the second place
spot. It didn't look like it was going to
be such a great night for Tim but then
the· second mota came. Lunde
captured the lead over Tim Shelton
who improved drastically from an 11th
place finish in the fint moto. Page
didn't have as good luclt this time and
took third. With a 5-1 score Lunde
won the class.
In a little less competitive battle
Lunde kept ahead of the 250cc Pro
class, sweeping it with two wins. But
right behind him was Can-Am factory
racer Jim Holley who hooked a pair of
seconds to lead Paul Sedler on the
overall results.
Track 'N' Travel Maico rider Dale
Lewis was determined to destroy
Lunde's streak. Dale managed to do
this just fine in the fint 500cc Pro
mota and Tim couldn't make the pass.
These two then traded place in the
deciding final moto and Lunde stayed
out front of Lewis. Lunde won the
money over Lewis. Tim's brother
Chuclt took his Yamaha to a pair of
thirds.
Mike Bell came out tonight to watch
his brother Scott whip the 500cc Junior
class. Mike wallted around with a
camera and took pictures the whole
time. Scott won both motos but not
without having to battle Gary Clark
and Rich Busconi. It took Scott a
while to work by Busconi in the final
