00 0') In the first round of the AMA 125cc and 250cc National Championship series. Team SUzuki riders Mark Barnett and Kent Howerton were unbeatable. Mark rounded the Hangtown course effortlessly on his works 125cc "Full-Rooter" to 1-1 mota finishes and first overall. and Danny Chandler placed 8th on astock RM-125. In the 250cc class. Kent also won both motos on his works 250. easily capturing first overall. Finishing 4th and 5th in the 250 class were two RM-250 "FullRooters" with Ron Turner and Larry Wosick aboard. And. in the 125cc amateur class. 15-year-old George Holland guided his stock RM-l25 to a perfect 1-1 win. Yes. indeed. Suzuki made a killing at Hangtown.
