Needless to say, we had an excellent time. jim Beltinck of the Masters division completely ran away from all his competition. Beltinck not only took the first moto but did a repeat performance in the second moto. Blackie Lewis followed Beltinck in with second place in both motos. Dick Mosley had another good day as he led all the Experts in with his first moto win. Dick Frampton came in with a nice second place win. Bob Crandall scored in with the winners for third place, followed by George Spearing. The second moto looked like it was going to be Frampton's but Crandall passed Dick and won the moto. Frampton came in with second place honors. Spearing battled his way into third and Kenny Williams crossed over in fourth place. Arnie Adkinson began the action in Amateur class at the start but by lap two Ed Scheidler blasted by Arnie. Ed kept on going at this terrific pace until . he had the first place win wrapped up. Hal Grady took a well deserved second place win. john Said did a lot of moving up very quickly for third place. Gene Powell gassed in with founh place win. Grady found the winning line that brought him into the first place win in moto two. john Webb carried second right to the finish. Powell came up with a third place win this time around, and Bob Anderson blasted in with founh place win. Good to see Bob back in there after his hand injury. Novice Bob Alloy took the lead in moto one and was really challenged by Ray Montoya. However, it was Alloy who took first, with Montoya second. Tony Copponeri, a new member, took third place. Everett Hatler took over things in moto two· with a very nice lead that took him right into first place. Alloy followed Hatler with a second place. Howard Zimmerman is getting back into racin~ after almost a year's absence and he did all right with !Us third place. • L_ R.sults MASTERS: 1. Jim B _ IMoil; 2. BlocItie lYomI. EX: 1.
