FEB. 22 On a cool grey day at Motorcycle Raceways, Inc., more than 300 motocrossers from Oklahoma, Kansas, Missouri and Texas shared wins. Minibikes, over 80 strong, staged some fine motos, giving spectaton a look at future experts. Shawnee, OK rider Steve Petree (Yam) claimed an· other win in the Pee Wee class and Jeff Emig (Yam) from Kansas, riding the Mini Mini class. added another first place trophy to his sheH. Mark Gilliland (Yam) took home the first place trophy in the lOOcc Amateur class and a second in I %5cc Novice. Brother Mike (Yam) claimed third in the 125ee Amateurs. The ~ BegiIUKT class saw David GritI'm on his Honda win both motos. Twenty-six Senior minibikes thundered out of the gate and David Baxter (Kaw) led the pack from bexin· ning to end in both motos with whisperin' Smith (Yam) garnering a pair of seconds. ewman (Yam) placed t i'd the first moto with Bryan Emig am) finishing fourth.
