David Greene again displaced Don Greene on lap 12 and began to set up his eventual win. His move came on the east banking of the course, only one straightaway from the finish line. David Greene, Ingalls and Don Greene dashed across the line in a cluster but the win belonged to David. "They (Ingalls and Don Greene) towed me around and I just kept trying," said David Greene in the winner's circle.
