Yamaha rider Arlo Englund won his race long battle with Can-Am rider Jim Holley and Yamaha· mounted Mark Lawrence to pick up fourth. Holley took fifth, Lawrence sixth. Wosick and Yamaha rider Phil Lar· son were side by side at the start of race two with Larson edging ahead over the big spectator jump. Wosick chOlle his spot and slipped past Larson on lap number three as Glover dOlled in from third. Glover outgunned Larson and set his sights on Wosick. Lawrence and Can-Am rider Juan Benavidez dueled for third place as Larson faded and Yamaha rider Rick Johnson moved into fifth after a last place start. Glover slipped around a tiring Wosick while Johnson moved into third. Johnson caught and passed Wosick with two laps remaining and Lawrence finished fourth ahead of Benavidez.
