The short second moto proved interesting as Jeff Brooks shot out into an
early lead. Jim Bob Edwards and
Maples both jumped on Brooks' tail
knowing they had little time to make a
move. Stiekierke jammed in for some
fast action as he passed both Maples
and Edwards for second.
Maples, not happy holding third,
took his chances and moved by
Stiekierke for second. Keeping the ball
rolling, Maples shot by Brooks also,
giving him the win and the overall
victory. Brooks took second with
Stiekierke taking third.

intention of letting it go. Klida and
Bryan Curtis both shot harcYat Davis'
tail trying to overtake him.

looking down Davis' neck. Within the

to Curtis' rampaging charge. Curtis
began to pull an overwhelming lead
while DaVis and Klida fought for second.

his way through the pack as he moved
by both Davis and Klida for second.

to the head of the pack with only one
thought on his mind. The motos had
been cut to four laps due to lack of
time and the riders were tapped out
looking for the checkered. Klida and

out right by snagging an early moto
lead. David Holmes (Kaw) and Curtis
both put out everything they had to
keep up with Jackman's lead.

mid-pack start. Barazoto quickly
moved past Curtis and then on to get
by Holmes. Barazoto fought hard to
make up the distance between him
andJackman, making up lots of ground
until the last lap when he went down
letting Curtis take over second spot.
Gary Bowman pulled in to finish third
with Jackman the wire-to-wire victor.
In the shortened la ps of the second
moto, Curtis shot away from the pack
hoping to steal the limelight. Bowman
and Jackman rode all out on Curtis'
tail, knowing they had little time to
pass. Craig Cable (Yam) soon got into
the action and moved by Jackman for
third. It was an all-out sprint for the
finish, but places remained the same
with <;:urtis taking the win, Bowman
and Cable taking second and third.

pace of the race by putting the power
of his 250 down to take back-to-back

(Kaw) and Gerry Johnson put an early
lead on the rest of the pack as they
charged hard through the opening lap.
