da- Northern California-Northern Neveda-Oregon-Washington-ldaho-Utah-Alaska- was a no show. too, though. and we had a clear, crisp day and a perfect track. With the smaller turnout and the combining of some of the classes. there was time for three motos. As a result the 250 and Open Intermediate riders were nearly begging for mercy before the day was over. They rode with the Pros - three 1I0-minute motos. Tim Fittro (Yam) survived to take the Open Intermediate brass and Dave EaJr.in (Hon) did more than survive in taking the 250cc honors. Dave ended up making more total laps than even the Pros by the time they took tums with a variety of troubles. Pros Jim Anderson on a 125 Yamaha and Rowdy Blasdell on a 250 Husky gave us some exciting laps even when they were not on the same lap. At one point or another. each was out of it for a lap or more for mechanical problems. Randy Hubbard (Yam) was out. too, but his was for recovery from a spectacular get-off when he miscalculated the double jump in the first moto. In the second moto, Anderson was a lap down when he came up behind Blasdell to dog him mercilessly. Coming around a tight comer, Rowdy's front wheel washed out and Jim narrowly missed nailing him. Then Jim stopped, looked back, sat and waited for Rowdy to lead the way again. The chase was not to last long because Rowdy was soon out with a Oat front tire. Three of the Mini Juniors raced themselves right into the Intermediate class today. Brent DeLay (Yam). Darren Rogers (Kaw) and Shane Cameron (Suz) mixed it up well among themsdves. but they were out of sight of the rest of the group most of the time. Shane did drag out a fourth in the first moto after being tangled with the gate, but he joined the crew for the final two motos for a second and third. Brent put a second and two wins out front of Darren's I-1I-2 record. These guys are going to shake up the lntennediate class, too. Howard Howe (Suz) was winner of the 1I0 to 40 Senior group while Larry Sause (Hon) worked up the ladder with a third, a second and finally a win for second overall. Stu Osborne (Yam) triple aced the Junior class and will find himself a Senior next time out. Results PEE WEE: 1. Jultin Stanning lSuzl. MINI JR: 1. Brent DeUy lYom); 2. 0 ....... Rogers l~); 3.
