I Friday night at Sacramento Ra ceway has become a night to come and "tune in" as well as find out where the Su nda y actio n is going to be. Steve Vlahos was the big winner in the I25cc Pro class tonight. 1n the first mota, Cory Cantaloupi (Do nnie's IiI' , bra) was hot on his tail. Pa t Yoho was third after working his way up from ninth. In the second mota , it was reversed with Yoho in second and Cory in third . Vlahos was first for the overall. 1In the 250cc Pro first mota, Dave Woods pulled one of his patented hole" , stiqts and stayed in front from start to finish . Randy Chapman booted his Maico up from a fifth -place start to a second-place finish behind Woods , but there was no way he was going to catch Dave, let alone pass him. . ~ Another Maico-mounted rider, Lance Loller, settled for third as Greg Bonovich kicked his Kawasaki into fourth . Bill Coates on a Yamaha was fifth. . ' Mota two was all Dave Woods again as he ended up with the overall . Cha pman could only pull a fourth out of tills mota, but that put him in second o~erall. Coates put his Yamaha in second for third overall. Greg Bonovich tied Coates in the point situation, but hIS second m ota third gave way to c Oates' second so he had to settle for third overall . Loller was fourth with 36 finishes . ..}\Foods pulled another of his Friday night holesho ts in the first Open Pro mota , too. H e a nd Dan T urner p ulled a lead on everyone as Intermediate Jim Van Dusen picked up third. L to two was another Woods Mo h~l~hot, but Turner put his Bill Har- . rison Construction Racing T eam Maico t~its limit to catch the Yamaha on a track su ited to a non ,European power· . band. After a few laps, th ey were lap' pipg th e rest of the pack and it looked as though Dan might get his chance to zap' Dave in traffic as he did one week previously. Bu t Dave slipped past the slower riders with too much ease for Turner to tak e ad vantage. So, as in mota one. Dave won with Dan second. Donna McGlothin won the Powder P~ffers race, but 1 feel special mention should go to Donna Mitchell who was fourth overall. The reason for that being that she is a recently christened mother! Yep, just a few weeks ago she gave birth to Donava n Duffy Mit chell. And we all know (and hope) he'll be faste r than his dad Duffy. Sh ou ld be no problem. Congratulations Don na . ... ....
