Inc . has filed what spokesman Rick Sieman called a "massive class action lawsuit" against the Bureau of Land Management. the U.S. Department of the Interior, the United States of America, Secretary of the Interior Cecil Andrus, BLMI Riverside Director Gerald Hillier, Draco Mines, Juniper Claims and other mines similarly situated. Included are the following causes of action: 28 USC 1331, 30 USC 612 (Violation of Multiple Use act of 1955), First Amendment (Violation of Free Speech Rights), fifth Amendment (Violation of due process and taking of property). DeCoster announced his retirement. but considering his 1979 reo tirement announcement. fans remain skeptical. King Kenny Roberts rode second to Randy Mamola in the British GP at Silverstone, so the possibility of KR not clinching his third championship title still exists. Roberts leads the series. 79 to Mamola's 66. with one race left: the West German GP on Aug. 24. For Mamola to take the title from Roberts. he'll have to win with King Kenny finishing 10th or worse. 2 Records fell like bowling pins at the National Motorcycle Racing Association's Golden Gate National drag races at Fremont, CA. Bo O'Brochta's Top Fuel Kawasaki lowered the elapsed time record to a smoking 7.30 seconds, as well as defeating Yamaha-mounted Jim Bernard in the final with a 7.52 / 181 mph run. Terry Vance's Pro Stock GS1100 Suzuki set new ET and mile per hour marks of 8.791 and 151.26, respectively. In the Pro Stock final , Vance edged Bob Carpenter, 8.80 /151 to 8.87 /147. Kawasaki mounted Terry Kizer was the first man on a gas-powered motor to break the eight second barrier with a 7.92, and he took the Super Eliminator title over Jon Baugh (Kaw). Finally, Geoff Masters' Kawasaki was the first B/Gas class machine into the eight second category with an 8.896 run. Masters won the Pro Comp final, defeating Rick Stetson (Hon) . Road racer Mike Baldwin will end 14 months forced retirement since breaking his leg by riding in the three remaining AMA Superbike Championship Series races for Team Honda. And we didn't call them Rouxe.... I American Honda announced a recali of more than 5,200 off-road racing motorcycles because they may pose a fire hazard to riders . The recall is being conducted voluntarily by the company in cooperation with the U.S . Consumer Product Safety Commission. The recall covers the 1980 model CR125R motocrossers. Honda informed CPSC that after extended use of the motorcycle at high speeds, the motorcycles' exhaust or expansion chamber could break along the upper welded seam, causing hot exhaust gases to discharge near the plastic fuel tank. If this occurs, the exhaust could damage the fuel tank, creating a potential fire hazard. The motorcycles being recalled have frame numbers 2100001 through 2107S02. Consumers are warned not to ride their motorcycles until recall service has been performed. If you owe one of these motorcycles please contact your nearest Honda dealer to arrange for free installation of a new reinforced expansion chamber.
