IN THE WIND P38 Andrea Dovizioso Suffers Broken Collarbone A ndrea Dovizioso was com- peting in the Emilia Romag- na regional motocross champi- onship in Italy, Sunday, June 28, when he landed heavily on his left shoulder, breaking the col- larbone, according to eyewitness reports. The three-time MotoGP runner-up was transferred to a hospital in Modena. In a brief post on Twit- ter, Ducati reported: "Andrea Dovizioso went under successful surgery to the left collarbone at Policlinico di Modena yesterday evening. "He will start rehabilita- tion immediately and take part in the 2020 MotoGP season opener at Jerez on 19 July 2020." CN Andrea Dovizioso is in a race against time to be fit for the opening round of MotoGP 2020 following a motocross crash. Petrucci to Red Bull Tech3 KTM D anilo Petrucci has officially signed on the dotted line to race for Red Bull Tech3 KTM for the 2021 season. The 2019 Italian MotoGP race winner announced two weeks ago that he'd be leaving Ducati following the signing of Aus- tralian Jack Miller and visited the Red Bull KTM factory in Austria for a tour. It has since been revealed he will partner Iker Lecuona at Tech3 with Portuguese Miguel Oliveria promoted to the official factory squad alongside South African Brad Binder. "It gives me great pleasure to stick these four hungry guys together for our MotoGP program," said Pit Beirer, KTM Motorsport Director. "Brad and Miguel have a produc- tive working relationship and have shown the talent and the desire to win races through all stages of Grand Prix. We believe they have the determi- nation necessary to push our MotoGP project forward. The same goes for Red Bull KTM Tech3 where we're happy to bring Danilo into the family." CN Danilo Petrucci's GP career has been saved with a move to Red Bull Tech3 KTM.
