IN THE WIND P16 First Look: 2021 KTM & Husqvarna MX and Cross-Country Models Husqvarna's four- stroke motocross and cross-country range also get smartphone connectivity capabilities, and like the new KTMs, upgraded forks. K TM and Husqvarna unveiled its complete line of 2021 motocross and cross-country models. The big news here, all four-strokes (KTM's SX-F and XC-F, and Husqvarna's FC and FX) will have smartphone con- nectivity capabilities for easier engine mapping changes. However, the required Wi-Fi transmitter does not come with the bikes, it must be purchased separately. (Price has not yet been announced.) The trans- mitter that you buy is built into a new handlebar pad which replaces the original pad and works off iPhone or Android phones. The app gives you many options as to engine tuning, in- cluding engine braking. There's even a suspension setup aid. Otherwise, the new KTM and Husqvarna MX and cross- country models see minor refinements to the engine and chassis, though they did get the same major upgrades to their WP Xact air forks that the 2020 KTM Factory Edition and Husqvarna Rockstar Edition models got. These bikes were introduced earlier this year. You can read our reviews of the 2020 KTM Factory Edition and Husqvarna Rockstar Edition models here.
