Marchbanks Out For Season
I
t turns out the injuries Gar-
rett Marchbanks suffered at
round three of the Monster
Energy AMA Supercross
Series in Salt Lake City, Utah,
were more serious than first
thought. At the time, the Mon-
ster Energy/Pro Circuit/Kawa-
saki Team rider was expecting
to return to racing before the
end of the Supercross series,
but Marchbanks will now sit
out the entire 2020 AMA Pro
Motocross Championship.
Marchbanks revealed on
Instagram, Tuesday, June 23:
I'm so gutted to announce
that I will be sitting out the
rest of the season due to a
crash that took place during round 13.
I ended up lacerating my liver, bruising my
lungs, I also tore my MCL and PCL which
will require surgery this Friday and will be
about a 5 month healing process. CN
Garrett
Marchbanks will
miss the entire
outdoor MX
season.
Austin Forkner
suffered
abdominal
injuries in his
crash at the
Supercross
final.
Forkner Out
Until August
T
he Monster Energy/Pro Circuit/Kawa-
saki Team got more bad news when
Austin Forkner revealed he suffered mul-
tiple abdominal injuries when he crashed
during the 250SX East/West Shootout at
the final round of the Monster Energy AMA
Supercross Series in Salt Lake City.
Forkner will be sidelined for six to eight
weeks. With Garrett Marchbanks, Jor-
don Smith and now Forkner all sidelined,
Cameron McAdoo will be the team's only
healthy rider going into next month's AMA
Pro Motocross opener in Crawfordsville,
Indiana. CN
