TIm Lunde took top prize in CMC Ascot's 250cc Pro contest.
Westergaard has the ability to win this
contest and he did just that in the first
moto. Norman Nilsson fined in the
second place spot as Lunde had to
settle for third.
In the second moto Lunde didn't
have the traffic ahead of him but
instead kept out front for the win
ahead of Nilsson and Westergaard .
Lunde won the bucks overall ahead of
Nilsson , Westergaard, Nakamura and
Gary jones.

The 250cc Intermediate class
racing was at its best. It was a
toss-up as to who was going to
win overall. Greg Wilson won the
36
first mota while john Stapleton tried to
get him and Michael David in tum
tried to beat john.
Everything went crazy in the second
and final mota. The pack took off
alright but then Ammex -rnounted
Gary Hibdon flipped his bike and he
landed many yards away from it. The
officials restarted the race and because of this the first start leaders lost
out. Doug jacobs and Ron Olson got
the bad end of it. jacobs didn't even
get back into the action and O lson
took a fifth . Michael David took advantage and came through with the
first place win ahead of Stapleton and
Greg Wilson. Overall it was David,
Stapleton, Wilson and Olson.
Steven VanZant hauled on his
Maico so that he won the 500cc Intermediate class. VanZant edged out
Brand johnson in all but the final
mota. Steven won the first mota ahead
of Michael David. johnson was third
but did beuer in the final.
Mike Stepak was back on his Honda
four-stroker and surprised everyone by
winning the final mota on it ahead of
johnson and VanZant. VanZant took
the overall trophy over Stepak, johnson and David.
Mark Allen was one of the only
people in the line- up who won both
motos almost uncontested. Allen races
in the I25cc junior class and he won
the division two class. He took two first
place wins and let the rest of the class
fight it out and have fun trading
places. Mike Lentini is always involved
in the top five and he took second in
the first mota ahead of john McNulty.
Paul Ellis improved in the second
mota and worked up to a second place
finish ahead of Lentini. While Allen
had the first place win made , these
other guys had to battle. Overall it was
Allen , Lentini , Ellis and Robby
Moore.
Todd Peterson was off water-skiing
and the Pro competition didn't mind
this one bit. Tim Lunde has won more
Pro races than anyone else in CMC
competition and tonight he picked up
the 250cc Pro win. He's won so many
races that when asked about his win he
replied "It's no big deal. " Danny
