With two rounds remaining, Lackey leads Andre Malherbe (Hon) 192 to 185. Andre Vromans (Yam) led Lackey, Roger DeCoster (Hon) and Hakan Carlqvist (Yam) to the flag in the first moto. The second moto saw Carlqvist on top with Lackey. Vromans and DeCoster trailing. Malherbe suffered engine prob- lems in moto one finishing eighth, and was DNF in moto two.
