Despite a broken toe on the fourth lap of the first moto in the May 25 British Championship MX round at Corsham, Graham Noyce (Hon) topped the field . Noyce plans to run the June 8 SOOcc GP in Italy. The May 25 French GP road race round at Paul Ricard proved to be a rough one for American entries Dale Singleton and Richard Schlechter. Singleton qualified 37th with Schlachter 38th in a 30 bike starting field . "W e just didn't get enough time on the track to get it dialed in ," said Schlachter at the Road America Winston Pro Series road race National. " We probably got two hours and a bit to run . Included will be some new jumps, including a double jump as used in the Nationel, and the addition of some sand to the clay track surface. Dave Emde will be supported by Duckwo~ Chain , through Hap Jones, durhis campaign of the U.S. road racing circus for the remainder of the 1980 season. One scene called for the Harley to be driven out of an airplane and filmed at a distance as it crashed to the ground. That made Dutcher a bit apprehensive.
