and riders bailed off as they attempted to go through at speed and their front ends went deep in the muck . This situation was very costly for Dick Burleson. He unloaded as he hit the last rut and tried to comer at the same time. The move COSI him several seconds. As the time for the last special test came closer. more and more spectators arrived to watch the MX action . They were not to be disappointed . Because vou need the touring advantage 01bead retention. Highway touring is not a proposition undertaken lightly. It requires a carefully prepared bike, proper riding clothes and, most important, good tires between you and the road. That's where Goodyear's Eagle G/T II helps. Eagle G/T II is a high-performance motorcycle tire with the touring advantage of bea d retention. Goodyear's bead retention device is a special lip on the sidewall of the Eagle G/T II. Its purpose is t o help retain the tire on the rim in cases where t he t ire suddenly loses ai r pressure. Tire footprint is also important t o highway to uring . The Eagle G/T II's tread profile puts a large footprint on the road. And the flatness of that profile helps smooth the transition between the demands of the straightaway and the demands of cornering. This Eagle also has a special centerline g roove to resist heat build up during sustained highway speeds. The Eagle G/T II rear comes in sizes MT90-16 (5.10-16), MT90-17 (5.10-17), MN90-18 (4.00-18), MR90-18 (4.50-18), and MT85-18 (5.10-18). The G/ T II rib front comes in sizes ML90·1 9 (3.50-19 ) and M N90-18 (4.00-18). , Ask t he tire expert-your mo torcycle dealer.
