Morgan Malocco was the overall w inner in CRC's Rosarito Beach GP. Morrison rode his usual steady race and put himself into a well deserved th ird and first l75cc . His Dick Allen IT175 Yamaha was essent ially stock . having on ly the usual shock and fork mods and su bstitution of a YZ silencer for the d iesel muffler that ITs usually sport. In cidentally, he also found a rock or two. having to ride half the race . with no first or second gear. As fast as this cou rse is. I wonder if he even missed them? Thanks to Pedro Arias of the Rosa rito Beach Hotel for his hospitally and hard work on this event. As I was going over my notes, I realized the difficu lty of one per son knowing what's happening in places out of reach or to racers that a re still racing while I'm talking to the leaders. If you think you finished well or if finished rotten but have a horror story to tell . look me up after the race and lay it on me . Who knows ? You may be contributing to great literaturel .. Tim Lunde gathered in the 250cc Pro win at SSM's weekly bash. picked up the third place money with a g-4 ride on his Yamaha. Craig Dale revved his way to the l25cc Pro win , keeping his Honda on the pipe and screaming as he held off cha llenges from Yamaha rider J im Holley. Other top riders like Honda pilot Chris Heisser, Yamaha rider A.J . Whiting and KTM -mounted Troy Lee fell victim to mechanical gremlins and failed to finish the second moto. Dale was the overall winner as Holley landed in the runner-up spot ahead of Yamaha rider Mark Ben ning who rod e consistently to finish third. Results 1. Morgan Malocco. 1st Opn Ex lYarn); 2.
