AMA Grand National Championship/Winston Pro Series: Round six Labrie holds 'em off at Ascot By Dale Brown Photos by Mark'Kariya and Brown GARDENA ,CA , MAY 10 - "It feels great! Now I know I'm ready to win another one!" responded Florida's Billy Labrie to a how-does-it-feel-to-win-a-National question. Labrie led the last three laps of the 20-lap half mile National promoted by J .C. Agajanian at a nearlypacked Ascot Park. Finishing second after leading 6 much of the race was Ricky Graham , while his Klotz/Wiseco teammate Scott Parker ran high and outside all night long to finish third . The Winston Pro Series points lead went to Alex Jorgensen as he finished eighth . Co -leader with Mike Kidd the week before, Hank Scott finished l lth and is second in the points. Randy Goss - via his fourth place finish and Graham tightened up , the race considerably. All four are within five points of each other, 50-47-46-45. Kidd is fifth.
