In th e inaugural night's act ion , the Junior. Cycle Stock Novic es and Intermediates, which consisted of stock 50 and 60cc mo tors, led off the program. In th e Interm ediates, Shane Trittler and Chris Lara traded moto wins and second placings, but Lara's second moto victo ry gave the Campbell's Suzuki rid - _ er the overall a head of T rittler's A.j. Racing Products Yamaha. Novices saw Bobby Headworth go to th e first moto win ahead of Troy Welty and Mike Smith, but in moto two Danny Lamb came .off of his firs t moto fifth to defeat Headworth at the checkered flag. Headworth's second was good enough for the overall, as Sm ith took second with another third, and Lamb wound up third overall. Next up the line were the Pee Wees , where Ronnie Densford captured both motos on his modified Italjet. Ronnie's sister Paula took the Novice race ahead of Bradley George, who crashed while dicing with Paula in the first moto and followed her the entire second round, unable to get around her JR Suzuki sponsored by he r dad . Jimmy Chamberlin took third overall, with a second in the first moto and a close third in the second. Junior Cycle Modified Novices and Intermediates followed , and in the Novice portion, Danny Lamb ran away with both rnotos and the victory as Dennis Erickson took a second in the first, but DNF the second. Kyle Lewis took the Kal -Gard/lOOO Oaks Yamaha to a two-moto sweep of the Intermediates ahead of Shane Trittler's 2-2 and Chris Lara's 3-3. Next up was the 83cc Modified Minicycle division, where Johnnie Rodriguez swept both motos ahead of Chris Lara and Sean Riley, while Mouse McCoy grabbed the Expert victory overall. In the 83cc Stock Mini cycle action, Brett Cavanah's 2·1 topped the second over all 3-2 of Ch ris Lara , who was riding in his fourth class of the night , and first moto winner Stagg Summers, whose fourth in the second round dropped him out of trophy contention.
