Bruce Ferguson (Vam) Nelson and Worth walk away at CMC HuronMX By Jerry Parsons HURON, CA, MAR. 50 Jon Nelson took action and dominated both motos of the 125cc Pros while Tim Worth walked away with the 250cc Pro win at the CMC-sanctioned Huron motocross. The 125cc Pro class got off the line with Nelson pulling an early lead followed by Chip Chapman (Hon), Jim Keese (Hon) and Mike Langly (Hon). Nelson began to stretch his lead while Chapman worked hard to shorten it. By lap three; Langley was hot on Keese's tail and ready to pass. Langley made his move on the next lap and took over third spot. Chapman was now forced to contend with Langley as Nelson's lead grew larger. Mike Olmsted (Suz) came up from the pack and overtook Keese to drop him into fourth. These positions remained unchanged during the remainder of the race and Nelson finished first, Chapman second and Langley third. The second moto started with Langley taking the lead and Nelson riding in his shadow. Keese and Olmsted put the pressure on not too far behind. By lap two, Nelson had moved by Langley and started working on his lead for a second time. Langley and Keese were now running hard trying to keep Nelson's pace as Chapman, who started out seventh, was working his way up. Chapman managed to get hold of Olmsted and took away his fourth place spot. Nelson got first again with Langley second and Keese third. The 250cc Pros powered their way off the line with Worth (Hon) taking the lead. Following Worth were Jay Haroutunian (Suz) and David Manhire (Suz). By lap three, Worth had pulled a fair-sized lead and worked his way through the Open class that started out earlier. Rob Martindale (Hon), who was running fourth, managed to catch and overtake Manhire for third position. Manhire worked hard to snatch back his position but was unable to do so. These positions remained the same until the checkered flag with Worth finishing frrst, Haroutunian and Martindale finishing second and third. The second moto started with Haroutunian going away with the led and jamming in front of Worth. Damon Webb was running third and wanted to get into the action. Worth managed to pass Harourunian and started pulling away as Martindale moved into third. Martindale's third was short and sweet as Manhire moved in to take it away. Webb, wanting to get back up. in the action, also moved by Martindale to finish fourth. Worth got another first followed by Haroutunian and Manhire. Results 5Occ: ,. Chris Gouder (SUll; 2.
