Tim won the 410 Cafe class beating
Praiswater and Richard Haecker, all
three aboard RD 400 Yamahas.
Can-Am riders swept both the 250cc
Production and Cafe classes. Nothing
~ really surprising about that, however.
It started off good but ended dull in
the Production race as Mark Toth
beat Denny Turnbull and Jim
Boldein. Mark was able to open up a
five-second advantage by the end of
that event. In the Cafe class final, the
fireworks lit up on lap six as previous
leader Duncan Paul pitted with ter·
minal problems with his RD 250 and
turned the race over to Bucky Patterson and Bill Syfan. But they barely
had time to size each other up as Pat·
terson crashed in the next tum and
Syfan went on to win over George
Lloyd by 15 seconds.
