A $700 Pro purse was up for grabs and after the races, there was a 45-minute moto with a $50 flTSt-place prize. . Maby Mcintyre was the man to beat . as he walked off with six motos. Scott Lo~ton recovered from a bad day riding in three classes to win the 45minute moto. As the 250cc Pros left the line for the fint moto, Logston (Yam) locked ban with Maby (Kaw) and Shaun Perrero (Yam) causing him to go down hard before he got five feet from the gate. The officials called a restTart. On the restart, Mike Haynes (Yam) led the pack around the fint tum. Maby and Scott were back in the rear of the pad moving up. As Logston moved into founh, he went down in a tum. Something seemed to be bothering him as he got up and rode straight to the pits. Mcintyre worked his way up to Haynes and tried a wild pass over the large whOQp-de·doos with both riders colliding in the air. Haynes recovered and held his lead. On the next lap, Mcintyre found a way around and went on to win. Haynes bent his ban in his meeting with Mcintyre and had to slow a little. Perrero took advantage of this and went to second before the checkered. In the second moto, Logston and Perrero led the charge. Perrero tried to take the line from Logston over the jumps causing both riden to go down, though. Mcintyre, unable to stop, landed on Logston's bike, putting it out of commission for the rest of the moto. Haynes took the lead but "Bad Brad" Tabor (Yam) went around then crashed, giving Haynes the lead again. Mcintyre couldn't be stopped, though, and worked up to fint with two laps to go. Haynes held on to second with one of the twins, Tracy Mcintyre. third. This is only Tracy's second time on a 250cc bike; he's not big enough, but no one has told him thatl In the 45-minute, 26·bike, winnertake·all moto, Mcintyre came from sixth to fint and looked like a sure winner when his Kawasaki broke. Logston, who started in fifth, moved up to second just before the halfway mark. Then he set out after Perrero who was leading. Just when Scott caught Shaun, he ran into a downed rider, loosing a lot of time. Scott got going again and with two laps to go, took over the lead and went on to win.
