World Series axed CYPRESS. CA. JAN. 21 In a pr.ssday phone conversation, Yamaha Team Manager Ken Clark told Cycle Na. . that the World Series - the world class road racing series organized by Yamaha's 500cc World Champion Kenny Roberts - was "on the skids." Roberts was not available for comment at presstime. The decision to cancel the series followed a meeting between World Series and FIM representatives. On Friday.
