Hard work, rare talent, old fashioned determination, good equipment and the
quality line of Klotz Lubricants and Wiseco Pistons made our team the most successful
in 1979 Winston Pro Series racing. Klotz and Wiseco want you to
know how proud we are of that achievement. And most importantly, _
we want to say, "Thanks, guysl"
SCOTT PARKER
Winston Pro Series Rookie of , . . - - - - - - ;
the Year is among the toughest
achievements in motorcycling.
En route to that honor in 1979,
Scott Parker whipped .one of the
finest rookie crops in AMA
history ... and occasionally
gave all those "grown up"
veterans a riding lesson as well.

RANDY GOSS
Three National wins; third in
the final standings just three
points behind Jay Springsteen;
a remarkable perfect record of
23 starts and 23 point-paying
finishes ... 1979 was a
banner year for Randy Goss,
who had never before reached
the Winston Pro Series top 10.
A former Amateur National
Champion at age 17 and the
youngest Expert in AMA history,
Scotty loves to bring the crowd
to its feet by full-boring a dirt
track corner, feet up and
grinning ear-to-ear. In 1979, on the mile ovals at DuQuoin
and Indy, his skill and desire merged into magic, and those two
victories make the KlotzlWiseco sponsored kid from Flint,
Michigan, the y~ungest Grand National race winner ever.
How much success can one rider cram into a single season?
How good can Scotty Parker be? Watch him in 1980 and find out.
Those who saw the determination
with which Randy built his
KlotzlWiseco backed 79 racing
program weren't surprised, and
they smiled knowingly when he won Middletown and then
Des Moines. Randy summed it up himself after claiming victory
in the Winston Pro finale at Ascot Park. "I heard this was
a racer's track," he said in victory circle, "and I'm a racer."
