.._._._._._._._._._.. Mike Said and Eddie Michetti battle at DeAnza, Gormley wheelied his Yamaha into the lead. A first lap bobble, however, put Gormley in second place behind Zitterkopf. Burtt, in the meantime, had passed several riders and was in sixth and moving up. On lap two he was in third where he stayed until Gormley fell in a turn and dropped back. From there on in Burtt tried to make up distance on Zitterkopf, but couldn't take over before the checkered flag came out. In the next round it was Zitterkopf on top from the start with Gormley and Burtt not far behind. It was on lap five that Burtt passed Zitterkopf, who was having carburetor trouble, and took the lead. Zitterkopf dropped back to third place behind Gormley and then back to fourth when Eric MacCracken (Yam) passed him on the 10th lap. The fmalline-up went Burtt, Gormley, Zitterkopf, MacCracken and Keith Williamson (Yam). DeAnza's Pee Wee class has been in full swing for over a year now and promoter Ed Michetti has been trying hard to attract the pint sized racers. It seems now that the Pee Wees are a permanent fIXture at DeAnza with dose to 20 of them going for it every week. Last Sunday in the class for 50cc ,bikes with automatic clutches it was Dustin Evans who led every lap of both motos. Bobby David took second in the first moto, but didn't start the next one, giving second overall to Joseph Lane. Chris Lowen's 4·3 score netted him third overall on top of David and Kim Robertson. All of the riders were mounted on Suzuki JR 50s except Evans, who was on an Ital·jet, and Lowen on a Honda. Tim Galatato (Suz) traded wins with Darrell Serdinsky (Suz) in the class for 50cc bikes with manual clutches. Galatato took the overall victory while Serdinsky was second ahead of Allan Brehm (Yam) and Dale EIberts (Suz). There is even a class for Pee Wee riders on· full sized mini bikes and that class was taken by Tim Linehan (Yam) with a double win over Kim Robertson and Jeff Davis. Results PEE WEE 1: 1.
