while Whaley scored 46. That settled
the top three overall positions, with
Schreiber's total of 53 winning over
Whaley's 72 and .comer's 77. -Fourth
went to Scott Head (BuI) with 97
points, and Andre Plouffe (Bul) took
fifth with 98.
Mark Eggar, whose score up to the
point had him headed for a top five
placing, dropped out midway through
the exhibition with a broken woodruff
key.
In Amateur action, Mark Olda~ aQd
Reed Evans tied at 37. Oldar took the
victory with 14 cleans over Evans'
seven. Rick McCabe was third.
Gil Smith and Art Webster also
deadlocked in the Senior A class.
Smith was listed first, although they
appeared to have just about identical
scores.
Wayne Mallard won the Novice
class by two points over Brad Nelson
while Louis Gleason took the Senior B
victory over Dean Hambrick.
_ New to the El Trial de Espana was a
Sidecar class, where the victory went to
the Harnmid/Jacoby team and second
was taken by the Footitt/Moorefield
duo.
Wayne Scott topped the Beginner
class by a two-point margin over Gary
Fortney. Paul Schrater and David
Moon scored wins in the Kids Band
Enduro classes, respectively.
Len Weed received a trophy suitably-sized for pouring shots of liquor
as a result of his win in the Press/
Industry class. If anyone else had
entered, they'd have gotten second
place with little trouble.
