Closed to ORV use are the Laguna Plata (3,360 acres), Pierce Canyon (1,215 acres), Pope's Well and Campsite #3 (40 acres) areas. The Maroon Cliffs area (1~,423 acres) receives a limited use designation, while the rest of the public lands in the planning unit (1,157,096 acres) are open to ORV use.
